1. Go to www.google.com

2. In the upper right hand corner, select the blue person icon.

3. Sign in with your student's ----@mcpsmd.net e-mail and password.

4. Navigate to their Drive on the left side of the screen. Work is organized by folders.

How will student birthdays be celebrated?

In order to preserve the learning environment for students, we will not celebrate birthdays at school with parties, food, or goodie bags. Each student will be recognized on our morning announcements and receive a special birthday pencil. We thank you in advance for helping us to uphold this policy.

What will homework look like?

Students will have nightly math and reading/grammar homework. Homework will be assigned and sent home on Fridays. It is due the following Friday.

In addition to homework, your child will have a monthly project to complete. These projects alternate by subject and are due (unless otherwise specified) on the last Wednesday of the month. More information about projects can be found here.

What are Friday Folders?

In an effort to maintain consistent communication between home and school, your child will be bringing documents home via their Friday Folder at the end of each week. Friday Folders will contain assignments, graded work, flyers, reminders, progress reports, permission slips, etc. Please make sure you review the contents of the folder with your child, and then initial on the appropriate date before sending it back to school. Students are expected to return their folder to school the following Monday morning.

I want to volunteer! How does that work?

We are so excited to have volunteers in our classrooms! Check with your child's teacher for more information.

What do I do if my student has a dismissal change?

Please send a note specifying the dismissal change for your student. If communicating by email, please send the note to the classroom teacher, copying our front office staff, Ms. Haynes (Christina_H_Haynes@mcpsmd.org) and Ms. Sherling (Ruth_M_Sherling@mcpsmd.org). If the dismissal change is that your student will be riding a different bus to another student's home, a note from both families is required.
